During the peaceful reign of Emperor Skandagupta, the devotee Madra, full of compassion for all living beings, erected this indestructible stone pillar housing images of the five foremost Jina conquerors: Adinatha, Shantinatha, Neminatha, Parshvanatha, and Mahavira.
