Quality management workflow and verification tiers for directory profiles
JML Data Verification Policy & Quality Standards
Jain Muni Locator (JML) is dedicated to maintaining the most accurate, trustworthy, and authoritative directory of Jain ascetics, temples, and accommodations. This policy details our verification tiers, editorial standards, and correction processes.
1. Verification Tiers
To ensure complete transparency regarding the source and verifiability of all directory entries, JML displays a verification badge on each profile.
Level 1: Community Reported
- Source: Location and profile updates submitted by community members or volunteers.
- Accuracy Check: Subject to community consensus and basic syntax validation.
- Attribution: Displayed as “Community Sourced”.
Level 2: Document Verified
- Source: Updates backed by verifiable digital evidence.
- Evidence Required: Photo or scan of an official Vistar Patrika (vihar notice), Sangh travel log, or published directory.
- Attribution: Displayed alongside the title/date of the referenced document.
Level 3: Sangh Authenticated
- Source: Direct confirmation from the official administrative coordinators of the respective ascetic’s sangh.
- Attribution: Displayed as “Official Sangh Authenticated”.
2. Right to Rectification & Corrections
We recognize that information changes rapidly. To ensure accuracy:
- Any devotee, sangh member, or administrator may click “Suggest a Correction” on a profile.
- Corrections require a reference source (e.g., website link, book citation, or document scan).
- All submitted corrections are reviewed by JML moderators within 24 hours.
